The EPLO announces that ELGS academic programs will be conducted ON PREMISE unless there is a strong limitation for in situ presence. Online attendance is allowed under specific conditions.
The Academy of International Economic Law and Policy (AIELPO) organizes every year (starting in October) the Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Economic Law (IEL), a flagship program focused on trade and investment law policy. This program can be completed on a full-time basis upon participants’ choice: i) in Athens; ii) online; or combining face-to-face and online periods. Its modular structure allows practitioners and professionals to select specific courses or modules for specialized training under the à la carte modality while obtaining a participation certificates. Moreover, upon request, capacity-building activities are organized following specific requirements catered to beneficiary needs under the tailor made modality.
The AIELPO program engages highly reputed international teaching staff from a myriad of worldwide prestigious institutions, thus ensuring and unparalleled and unique learning experience in cosmopolitan Athens, the Cradle of Democracy, with a high degree of flexibility.
Program Content
The EPLO LLM in IEL is a one-year taught degree program that benefits from a core curriculum composed of intensive courses, together with seminars, workshops, and events, earning 90 ECTS credits.

Admissions Requirements and Procedures
Required documents to apply for admission:
info@aielpo.eplo.int indicating in the subject section “Reference Letter-Applicant’s Name”. 6. If applying for a scholarship, copy of income-tax return and/or that of the supporter.
1. Copy of passport (bio page). 2. Copy of undergraduate university degree (if not available in English, an officially translated version should be provided). 3. Copy of postgraduate degrees (if any) (if not available in English, an officially translated version should be provided). 4. Copy of academic transcript (indicating subjects taken and grades obtained). If not available in English, an officially translated version should be provided. 5. Two reference letters in English. These letters should be submitted by email toStudents can apply on their last year of undergraduate studies before receiving their undergraduate degree, and if admitted they will be granted a conditional admission. This admission will be confirmed provided that the student receives the undergraduate degree before the beginning of the programme.
Upon correct reception of all the requested documents, the AIELPO’s Admissions Committee will issue an admission decision and a financial offer considering all the relevant criteria within 2 weeks. Students are given 2 more weeks to accept or reject the offer and place the reservation deposit.
All courses of the program will be taught in English. As a result, students originating from non-English speaking countries must evidence their level of English language skills in accordance with the following criteria:
• TOEFL Internet, Score of 90 or above • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency, Grade B or above • Any other internationally recognized test with equivalent marks
Those whose native language is not English but whose undergraduate or postgraduate degree was fully taught in English are exempted from this requirement. The Admission Committee of the EPLO LLM in IEL reserves the right to conduct interviews with applicants in order to assess applicants’ language skills as a supplementary means of language assessment.
Application
To apply for EPLO’s LLM in IEL, students must first complete the application form and submit the relevant documents to be considered for admission.
Given its interdisciplinary nature, the EPLO LLM in IEL is open to any prospective applicant with background in law, economics, political science, international relations, governance studies, business, international and European studies and/or related fields. Applicants with a particularly competitive profile with evidence of relevant professional experience and long-term dedication to the field will also be considered. Recent graduates showing strong interest on IEL matters during their studies (in the form of research, conferences, publications, moot courts, etc) will be given positive consideration during the application process. Due to the international nature of the program, degree equivalencies will be determined by the EPLO as a requisite for admission.

Tuition and Aid
Tuition for EU and International students for the LLM program is 20,000€ including all program-related activities (such as field trips) and the availability of course materials.
Please be advised that there are other direct and indirect costs related to attendance, in addition to tuition fees, such as books, supplies, accommodation, and living expenses which must be considered by students when applying.
Scholarships are available for a select number of highly qualified students and take into consideration merit and financial needs, particularly for applicants in low and middle-income countries. EPLO would like to empower young leaders with the capacity to transform their contexts and live up to a challenging world.
Awarded scholarships mostly consist of partial and (exceptionally) full tuition waivers.
