The ELGS welcomes doctoral researchers, postdoctoral researchers, visiting professors and other academics and professionals from diverse academic backgrounds to enhance their educational experience through independent research as part of the ELGS Visiting Fellows program.
Scholars intending to conduct research in fields of study relevant to the ELGS are encouraged to apply for a Visiting Fellow status at the School and be granted the opportunity to take advantage of the unique resources and services that the ELGS has to offer such as its specialized library and publications, its extensive network of scholars, practitioners, and partner universities, and its numerous annual events and the work of the EPLO.
Although Visiting Fellows may be invited to participate in seminars or other organized activities in accordance with their preferences and availability, they are expected for the most part to conduct their research independently.
The normal duration of a fellowship is six months to two years on a full time basis, and the total duration may be exceptionally reduced or extended under specific conditions. Eligible applicants are persons who hold a doctorate, or have equivalent professional experience, or are advanced doctoral candidates who have completed all required coursework.
